Mission Statement

Spanishburg Elementary School will develop students who are healthy, responsible, self-directed, lifelong learners who have the knowledge and Global21 skills necessary for living satisfying and productive lives.

Core Beliefs

Spanishburg Elementary School, like the West Virginia Department of Education, believes we must be steadfast in keeping the achievement and well-being of our students the central PURPOSE of everything we do.

  • We believe the personal needs of our students (health, nutrition, safety, and emotional well-being) must be met if optimal learning is to occur.
  • We believe that great teachers make great schools and that responsibility for student learning is our highest calling.
  • We believe that every citizen and stakeholder has a moral imperative to improve public education.
  • We believe that innovation is necessary to transform our school to meet Global21 demands.

"Pride in Excellence"
